Then Keely Smith sings That Old Black Magic with Kid Rock and Dave Koz. Is LSD making a comeback?

9:10 p.m.: Stevie Wonder introduces Alicia Keys, who redeems her earlier weak performance with a blistering No One, despite painful-looking silver glittery earrings one could use for a game of horseshoes.

Feeling serene, we continued our drive to Primula Beach Resort, which is undergoing soon-to-be-completed renovations. The resort is located on the beachfront, very near the city center. Owned by the Malaysian government, the resort does not serve alcohol, in accordance with Islamic teaching. For recreation, the venue features a pleasant swimming pool and tennis court.

Behind the scenes, EU splits over Kosovo

The Ottomans brought Islamisation with them, particularly in towns, and later also created the Vilayet of Kosovo as one of the Ottoman territorial entities. Kosovo was taken by the Austrian forces during the Great War of 1683–1699 with help of 5,000 Albanians and their leader, the Catholic Archbishop Pjetër Bogdani. In 1690, the Serbian Patriarch of Peć Arsenije III, who previously escaped a certain death, led 37,000 families from Kosovo to evade Ottoman wrath, since Kosovo had just been retaken by the Ottomans. The people who followed him were mostly Serbs, but they were likely followed by other ethnic groups. Due to the oppression from the Ottomans, other migrations of Orthodox people from the Kosovo area continued throughout the 18th century. It is also noted that some Serbs adopted Islam, while some even gradually fused with other groups, predominantly Albanians, adopting their culture and even language, essentially leaving a predominantly Islamic presence in Kosovo.[citation needed]

In 1766, the Ottomans abolished the Patriarchate of Peć and the position of Christians in Kosovo was greatly reduced.

Dollar Hits Third Record Low in a Week

The latest record for the euro drew a new round of criticism in Europe, particularly from trade unions worried about exports to the U.S.

"An excessively expensive euro will cost European jobs, coming as it does on top of other setbacks to growth — the subprime financial crisis and credit squeeze, the U.S. recession, and the end of the construction boom in several EU countries," the European Trade Union Confederation warned.

European Union businesses said they were starting to feel the pinch, too, notably from U.S.-based buyers who pay for goods from Europe.

"We said when the euro was above $1.40 that we feel the pain. When the euro is above $1.50, it is alarming," said Ernest-Antoine Sillier, president of the EU employers' group BusinessEurope.

Automated Killer Robots ‘Threat to Humanity’: Expert

If you murdered your neighbor and stole his property could that be described as 'winning". When you start out with an evil premise there is no way to turn it respectable. I am disturbed at the continuing dehumanization of this murdering. The same stuff they use on them can be used on us. Most of the people they are killing are innocent. They do have the right to defend themselves against imperial occupiers. Anyone who opposes them they call terrorists. Are you a terrorist? The real terorists are the ones who launched this illegal war based on lies.
